Information for Students
Rules and Regulations
All students must observe the following attire rule:-
F - Fingernails must be kept short and clean.
A - Attire for school and PE must be the prescribed and no modifications to be made.
S - Socks and shoes must be black.
H - Hair must be neat and tidy. Unacceptable hairstyles or dyed/coloured hair are strictly prohibited.
I - Include accessories and jewellery. Only black hair/darkblue accessories are allowed. Only a small, plain silver/gold pair of ear studs may be worn by the girls. Body jewellery and accessories such as nose studs or nose rings are not allowed.
O - Overall cleanliness.
N - Nametag must be attached to all uniforms and PE T-shirts.
Behaviour
Students must show respect, in speech and/or body language towards others.
Students must play their part in ensuring that the school is a conducive and safe environment for learning to take place.
Students are not to cheat, forge signatures or make changes on consent forms, medical certificates or test papers.
Students are to submit all homework and assignments on time.
Use of Technology
Students are only allowed to use their mobile devices in the classroom or specific areas in the school after they have sought their teacher’s permission.
Unless specifically instructed by teachers, mobile devices are to be switched off and kept in school bags at these times:
- 7.30 am - 1.30 pm
- 2.00 pm - 5.00 pm
Students should demonstrate respect for others and not use their mobile devices to bully, intimidate or harass other students.
Students should exercise care and responsibility for school-owned mobile devices.
These devices are for learning and research purposes only.
Students are only allowed to switch on their mobile devices in the canteen from 1.30 pm to 2.00 pm It is strictly for communication and not for playing games, surfing the internet or taking photographs.
This restriction on the use of mobile devices also applies during school excursions, camps and CCAs.
Exams
Orderliness and silence must be observed in the examination room.
Students should ensure that mobile devices are not brought into the examination hall or classrooms. They have to surrender them before entering the examination venues. The mobile devices will only be returned after all the examinations have ended for the day.
Cheating is a major and serious offence. Disciplinary action will be taken against candidates found cheating, attempting to cheat or helping others to cheat in an examination.
Thermometers
This is a reminder for all pupils to bring your Oral Digital Thermometers (ODT) to school daily. The school will be conducting thermometer checks during morning assembly daily. Please check regularly that your ODT is working.
Library Opening Hours
Our Library is open during school term from Monday to Thursday, 7.30 am to 4.30 pm and 7.30 am to 4.00 pm on Friday.
During school holidays, please check with the General Office for the opening hours of the Library.
Dental Clinic Opening Hours
Our dental clinic’s opening hours are as follows:
Please take note that the dental clinic will be closed during lunch time: 1 pm - 2 pm.
